EAP Program Coordinator

At an early age, my parents introduced me to classic and contemporary literature through which I explored other cultures and histories. As a result, my desire to experience the world was born. However, when my family was forced to flee Burma when I was twelve, my dream to travel abroad came to a halt, as did my opportunity to obtain formal education. Five years later, I had the thrill of learning a new culture, language, and education system when we came to the United States. Through my experiences, I had become passionate about human rights and education. As a volunteer, invited speaker, and human rights activist, I traveled to different countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Australia, France, Uzbekistan, and Russia. This exposure to a variety of cultures and locations helped me grow in my character and molded me into a well-rounded educator.

I am also a proud alumnus of UC Davis and am delighted to join the wonderful team at the Education Abroad Center. I look forward to helping you explore the possibilities of studying abroad in China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam!
