Study abroad helps students to redefine their perspective of the world and themselves through immersion in another culture. Whether as near as Canada or as far away as Singapore, students on the EAP program are uniquely challenged to excel at world-renowned universities alongside the brightest students in the world. Without fail, every student discovers him or herself, building resourcefulness, creativity, and leadership that will enrich their careers at UC Davis.

My experiences abroad were extraordinary, and ultimately influenced my career in student advising. I am an alumni of the EAP year program to St. Andrews, Scotland and, after graduating from UC Davis, I studied and worked in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. These programs were invaluable learning experiences – both academically and personally – and I want nothing more than to encourage and assist students in their own goals to study abroad!
