Welcome to the EAC where you will find many study abroad programs to help you explore our world. I am the Programs Assistant for the Summer Abroad program and I am delighted to work here to help make your summer study abroad experience a success story.

My interest in Study Abroad came from my experience living in multiple cultures. I was born in Vietnam to Chinese parents and moved to the US at an early age. While en route to the US, I also lived in Thailand and the Philippines for a short time as a refugee. My transition from one culture to another raised some questions regarding my identity as a citizen of my new country and home. After I completed my BA in International Relations at UC Davis, I joined the Japan Exchange Teaching (JET) program to experience yet another transition to a new culture. The year in Japan helped me solidify my identity as a multicultural person living in the US and helped me appreciate the diversity we are blessed with in this country.

Whatever your reason may be for studying abroad, I encourage you to come to the EAC to explore your options. Your experience abroad will change the way you view our world.
