Reciprocity Students
Welcome to the University of California, Davis! UC Davis is one of ten University of California campuses located in Northern California – 70 miles from San Francisco and the Pacific Ocean beaches, and 100 miles from the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains and Lake Tahoe, and 180 miles from Yosemite National Park. Students enjoy the college town feel of Davis, while still being able to quickly travel to many of California’s greatest cities, beaches, ski slopes, and tourist destinations.
As a UC Davis reciprocity student, one of your first stops on campus should be the Education Abroad Center on the corner of 3rd and A streets, at 207 Third St, Suite 120. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet the academic advisors, office staff, and student interns. You will also be able to get in touch with students returning from abroad who will be able to give you information about general student and academic life at UC Davis. Below you will find links to help you prepare for your stay at UC Davis. Please take some time to explore and learn more about our campus.

Course Registration
All students at UC Davis register for classes electronically via the web-based registration system SISWEB. Registration takes place during two intervals called “passes.” The two-pass registration system ensures that all students have access to the courses that are most critical to their curricula, and that access to registration is distributed fairly throughout the student body. The steps to registering for classes is as follows:
- Establish a campus computing account
- Go to: http://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu
- Click on “Get Your UC Davis Computing Account”
- You will use your student ID number, issued to you via email
- Enter your name exactly as you did on your EAP application
- Once your account is activated, you will be issued a User ID and “Kerberos” password. This User ID and Password will allow you to login to the SISWEB system.
- Select your courses
- View the UC Davis General Catalog
- Click on the department where you wish to take courses; this will take you to general information about the department.
- Click on “Courses” at the top to display courses that are offered in the department throughout the year.
- Determine time and days that courses are offered
- View the Schedule of Classes
- Click on the department where you wish to take courses; this will display the times and days that courses are offered.
- Register for courses
- Once you have chosen your courses for the quarter, and your campus computing account is active, you can register for your courses.
- Go to http://sisweb.ucdavis.edu to access the SISWEB registration website.
- Use the Kerberos User ID and Password you obtained from computing accounts above, and follow directions from there.
- Again, you will need your Student ID and PAC numbers to access your record, and you will be required to change your PAC number after your first login for security.
- Complete instructions for registering for courses can be found at: http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/csrg/accesssisweb.html, please read through all the tabs before you begin your registration process.
Making yourself at home
- Craigslist: lists, among other things, postings for rooms and apartments for rent (make sure to search for “Davis”) OR you can search for furniture and bicycles
- Community Housing Listing: posts by members of the UC Davis community for empty rooms and apartments
- IKEA: most of the apartments students rent are unfurnished so you can go to IKEA to pick up some cheap furniture and household supplies
- WALMART: a superstore that has extremely cheap household items, this store is right next door to IKEA
- Bike Barn: Davis is known for its biking and its bicyclists. Biking is the easiest way to get around our large campus and our town. The bike barn has bike auctions twice a year and is a great place to get your bike fixed
Before you leave Davis
- Sisweb: gives you access to your transcripts and bills at UC Davis. Before you leave make sure to check that you do not have any outstanding bills (health insurance, overdue library books, overprinting fees, Cowell health center bill, etc.) because if you have to pay them from your home country it will cost a lot more
