Every student should begin their study abroad experience by attending a First Steps workshop.

The Application Process will be different for each EAC program, but here are a few guidelines to help with your initial process.

1. Every study abroad program has minimum qualification requirements. Ensure you qualify by checking the following for each program you are researching:

• GPA
• Class Level
• Pre-requisite Courses
• Student Judicial Affairs Clearance

2. The Education Abroad Program has such a diverse range of program offerings that students interested in EAP should make an appointment with one of our EAP advisors to clarify program qualifications.

3. Visit the Quarter Abroad and Summer Abroad Web sites to learn more about their program requirements.

4. Attend a First Steps to Study Abroad Information Session. Whether you are new to study abroad or want details on how to integrate a program with your major, First Steps workshops provide a solid foundation to explore options.

5. Develop an academic plan for study abroad at our Academics page.

6. Both Quarter Abroad and Summer Abroad have online applications and are only open during specific enrolment times.

7. The Education Abroad Program application is a combination of online and printed forms. For information on how to complete these forms, take the short Application Tutorial where we explain how to complete each required document. Materials may include: UC and transfer transcripts, a statement of purpose, academic planning forms and letters of recommendation. If you have any questions once you have taken the Application Tutorial program, feel free to meet an advisor during drop-in hours: Monday- Thursday 10:00am-12pm.
